Magical pond that changes color with the weather
Kent Shiraishi took these photos of the Blue Pond, a beautiful body of water in Hokkaido, Japan. Blue Pond receives so much attention because of its shimmering blue hue, which changes into a lovely green in certain light. This pond owes its colors to aluminium hydroxide, a mineral which reflects blue light.
If you invert the colors when you’re on mobile it looks pretty insane
As exercise, I’ll be sharing a drop of my inspiration folder each day for a month. The theme will remain unspoken and will be relaxed yet connected. Let me know what you think and if you’d like to suggest a topic :)
Dark-Winged Angels: Roberto Ferri
Sumptuous oil paintings by Taranto, Italy romantic painter Roberto Ferri (b. 1978), modern master of his own Baroque revival, who some call Caravaggio’s heir. Who am I to argue?
We often see Ferri’s Lucifero posted here and at other blogs (the fifth image down). No idea why I hadn’t previously taken the time to look up more of this painter’s work. Gorgeous, one and all. But be they good or bad, why, we must wonder, are all of the angels’ wings dark?
Men say that Tywin never smiled, but he smiled the day he married your mother… He was not the same man after she died. The best part of him died with her.
